Manager – Audit

Job Description

The role is required to bring about further synergy in the Audit practice, guidance and take the audit practice to the next level of growth along with the Audit Director. The incumbent is required to contribute to Firm’s management to grow Dubai Audit business. The key responsibilities of the incumbent would be the following: o ❖ Manage and supervise the execution of external audit engagements of various clients. ❖ Handle the firm’s clients and be responsible for generating new business. ❖ Research technical accounting issues and aid in the identification of business development. ❖ Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development ❖ Work with other managers to help ensure the proper deployment of the audit staff and assist with the career development of team members ❖ Understand and utilize MBG’s Audit Methodology. ❖ Knowledge and ability to use proficiently standard office software’s, including word-processing, databases and spreadsheets. ❖ Well-developed organization and time management skills, and the ability to work on own initiative, accurately to tight deadlines, and to prioritize between conflicting demands ❖ Ability to coach and develop junior members of the team ❖ Strong communication, leadership and project management skills ❖ Identify and communicate to the Client how the vast depth of IFRS and IAS knowledge coupled with tailor-made products and services that can be leveraged to build appropriate solutions for the Customers. o Network with external Organisations and build strategic alliances to build the brand value of MBG. o Support product development initiatives, as required. o Conduct periodic research and report market intelligence on competitive activity. o Provide timely and constructive feedback to internal units to improve/structure service offerings. o Enable and leverage the revenue growth opportunities for the MBG Group as a whole and the Audit areas in particular. o Ability to do cross selling of other services of the firm. o Drive retention and growth of people – a good people manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

CPA/CA/ACCA ❖ 5-8 years of experience in a managerial role like the Big4 or any other large Professional Services Firm in UAE or Middle East. ❖ Licensed CPA/ICAP/ICAI/ICAEW/ACCA. ❖ Demonstrated supervisory experience and ability to meet challenging client requirements and provide exceptional client service ❖ Exposure to providing audit services to clients across a variety of industries ❖ Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Auditing Standards (IAS) ❖ Willingness and ability to travel. ❖ Exhibit the highest standards of professional integrity and business ethics. ❖ Very good communications skills, both oral and written. ❖ Strong inter-personal skills. ❖ Open to new ideas from internal and external customers. ❖ Strong international outlook and cross cultural exposure.
