- Perform and supervise audit procedures to obtain sufficient evidence to assess the effectiveness of the internal control structure and to develop cost-beneficial recommendations;
- Document and communicate the results of audit procedures, issues and recommendations to the audit team and company management;
- Monitor assigned audits and projects to ensure efficient completion and within established deadlines;
- Continually evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal audit department functions, and identify areas of improvement;
- Provide guidance and supervision to auditors on specific assigned audits; and
- Build productive relationships with company management.
- Utilizing use of audit data analytic tools (e.g, ACl software)
- Automate audit work flow through use of automated tools (e.g, AutoAudit software).
- Contribute in preparation of risk based audit plan, including proposing audit objectives, scope, and detailed audit work plan(s) to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in addressing key risks associated with the respective auditable entity or entities.
- Conduct organization-wide risk assessment to identify areas of High, Medium and low risk exposures within the organization and assess the adequacy of internal controls in mitigating identified risks.
- Contribute to the implementation of Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAAT), including audit work-flow automation tools ( For example, AutoAudit Software).
- Contribute to the implementation of Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAAT), including audit data analytics and continuous audit tools (for example ACL software)
- Coordinate the timing and logistics of assigned audits between company management and the audit team.
- Allocate audit staff resources among assigned audits, and prepare time budgets for each assigned audit, ensuring efficient and effective allocation of audit department resources.
