Main Duties and Responsibilities

1

Dealing with customer and patients concerns and questions in a quick and efficient manner

2

To assist the patient for the acceptance, Coverage , Exclusion , Deductions , Approval requirements , Policy Information , and any other assistance

3

Verifies all insurance benefits assigned to the clinics to determine if insurance coverage meets the standards of admission as stated in hospital policy

4

Advice to the Doctors for the correct documentation

5

Advice and assistance to the doctors for the ICD- and MSO

6

Assist the Reception staff for the Plan verifications , Query on Cards , Deductible , Online assistance , Online mismatch , Approvals, Acceptance of the card etc.

Assist the VIP members and special approval cases from insurance company

8

Act as the key Counselor for patient and families regarding financial issues such as insurance, eligibility for assistance and verify insurance coverage with insurance companies.

Coordinates with medical, nursing and accounting staff to ensure appropriate placement of patients and compliance with payers and other regulations.

Review patient admission records to ascertain insurance coverage and the possible need for financial assistance; obtain insurance authorizations of initiate applications for public assistance as indicated.

Follow and advise, as appropriate, on improving the established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety/ environmental standards.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Familiarizes with the pricing and explain the financial liabilities to the patients

14

Supervise the provision of accurate information to patients on such matters as the scope of the health care treatment services provided by the New Dar Al-Shifa.

15

Appropriate support & Guiding the related staff for documents preparation, collection and verification of records, maintenance of data.

16

Provide necessary required actions /steps in the field to improvement in all respective area based on customer need.

Required Qualifications

1

Education Level

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Medical

2

Experience

At least 3 to 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

3

Language / Literacy

Well versed in Arabic and English languages – to read and to write.

Computer literacy – highly skilled in the use of spreadsheets and word processing packages.
