- To monitor effectiveness and ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company procedures and Policies in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code
- To monitor the implementation of Company's Safety, Environmental, Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- To assist in the investigation of incidents and follow up for effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct emergency drills / trainings for assigned vessels. Review results with Master/ Safety officer and compile reports for Management, proposing amendments to training schedules to meet specific needs.
- Conduct Safety, Health and Hygiene inspections with the Shipboard Safety officer and compile vessel condition reports.
- Carry out Internal ISM, ISPS, MLC and Navigational/ Sailing audits.
