• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and sorting food before use
• Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
• Set up and break down work stations on time
• Help in achieving food costs, kitchen standards and overall objectives
• Carry out daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/ dating and storage
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, clean uniform and overall camaraderie
• Be familiar with opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and carry them out
• Receive deliveries, store supplies properly, and rotate stock
