Hiring for a Government client in Dubai.
JOB PURPOSE
Perform professional mobility management of first/last miles and short trips planning tasks on the strategic level (governance, high level plans, monitoring) in order to ensure integration of all modes of transport within Dubai.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support client in achieving its initiatives in mobility management of first/last miles and short trips by:
Support in creating a comprehensive framework for mobility management of first/last miles and short trips, and later on the implementation of the framework.
Ensure that mobility management policies and processes are being implemented by the concerned entities at client.
Follow upon the implementation of the technical plans that relate to mobility management of first/last miles and short trips by the concerned entities at client. Devise a follow up mechanism/process and spearhead its implementation.
Monitor mobility management Key Performance Indicators that are being measured by concerned entities within client. Devise a follow up mechanism/process and spearhead its implementation.
Support as needed in the urban mobility innovation index, including the enhancement of the index, as well as the annual workshop that will be held in Dubai about the index.
Analyze the results and issues raised by the client entities that monitor the implementation of the mobility management plans for first/last miles and short trips and recommend required countermeasures.
Conduct international benchmarking and studies related to different transportation planning issues in Dubai, develop and present solutions as needed.
Prepare and present technical information and reports to a variety of audiences.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Transportation planning, urban design or urban planning from a recognized university.
Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in multimodal transportation planning and urban design. Know how of the emerging modes of mobility for first/last mile and the different urban design plans used to deal with is a plus.
Ability to coordinate with different stakeholder and be proactive in solving foreseen issues with them.
Fluent in Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Excellent knowledge in conducting and reviewing different types of mobility management of first/last mile and short trips implementation plans.
Preparation and presentation of thematic maps.
Proficiency in using different presentation and mapping softwares.
