- obtains the needed knowledge regarding the category strategies and key business driver
- obtains full understanding of the category performance by channel and spot on the key opportunities
- ensures the deployment of category strategies (DPSM) by CBD Teams
- analyses and have clear picture of competitive information and activities
- leads the internal deployment of the plans to maintain category competitive edge
- searches and re-applies proven success models
- contributes to business and budget planning for the category
- serves as an internal category expert
