Big Data Developer

The purpose of the role is to assist in the creation and delivery of usable, working software.
The Functional tester (in conjunction with the rest of the project team) is expected to ensure that the requirements, design and resulting implementation address the business need, safeguard the end-user experience, system stability, appropriate security as well as adhere to applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in planning sessions and daily stand up meetingsHelp to define user stories and their acceptance criteria to know if they satisfy user/business requirementsIdentify & document test cases, scenarios or test scripts that validate the meeting of acceptance criteria for each use story
  
• Perform sanity & exploratory as well as usability testing for each build
  
• Assist the team with other tasks other than those related to testing where required
  
• Contribute to improving of Agile QA processes in the division
  
• Demonstrate the delivered build/functionality to the business after each sprint
  
  

Requirements

• IT Diploma / Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Informatics or equivalent
  
• ISQTB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
  
• Agile Testing Certification
  
• Data & Analytics Tester Certification
  
• Test Automation Certification
  

• HP Quality Center, JIRA, TestRail
  
• Exposure to Test Automation tools (Quick Test Professional, Selenium etc)
  
• Web Service Testing: SoapUI
  
• SQL Understanding & Experience
  
• Database Technologies: Oracle, Hadoop, Postgres
  

• 3+ years software testing experience
  
• 2+ years in Data Testing, ETL migration projects, test automaton & web services testing
  
• At least 1 year in an agile environment
  
• Banking (preferably) or Financial Services experiencE
  
• Previous experience in either development, systems administration or applications support would be beneficial
