we are currently looking for a customer service adviser to join our customer success team. Our business is growing, meaning we need a little extra help with the day-to-day administrative duties and workload. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping our customers, who is able to actively interact with them to give the best service possible.
Based in our North London warehouse in Edmonton, we have been a fabric wholesaler stocking a large range of fashion and craft fabrics for over 140 years.
The successful candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following tasks;
- Answering the phone; speaking to customers, advising them on fabrics we supply, checking stock levels and prices and answering general enquiries and advice about our services.
- Monitoring and replying to emails from customers. Communicating with customers through the live chat and Whatsapp.
- Acting as a liaison with the courier services we use to deliver fabric to our customers. This will include tracking packages, resolving any issues, coordinating returns and replacement orders if something doesn't arrive, booking in collections, submitting claims for lost parcels.
- Dealing with and keeping a log of all claims, returns, refunds and issues; ensuring this is updated and maintained throughout the week.
- International and pallet shipping - Quoting customers for shipping prices and booking couriers for parcels and pallets
- Checking courier invoices for discrepancies and incorrect charges and requesting credits.
- Attend regular meetings, both internally with the administrators, and with external contacts.
The ideal candidate for the job is someone;
- Experienced in working with Microsoft programs and is quick and efficient when working on the computer.
- A great communicator! We are looking for someone who is personable, friendly, polite, and professional. Experience in a previous customer service-based role is desirable.
- Has attention to detail
- Organised, able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- A prior knowledge of fabric is desirable but not critical.
- Takes the initiative to learn new tasks quickly and can take on new responsibilities when required.
