WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Daily tasks may include:
- Use tools such as multi meters to troubleshoot relays, boards, and power supplies on parts items such as gate operators, barrier arm operators, call boxes, and access control
- Perform minor repairs to gate panels that involves cutting, bending and welding metal gate panels
- Install gate and access control parts on new installs
- Assist other departments on installations
- Products: Avigilon Ava DSC Digital Watchdog Spectrum DoorKing Fire Lite LiftMaster OpenPath Potter Qolsys Silent Knight
Requirements
WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?
This is a position that requires a wide variety of skills such as welding, electronics troubleshooting and occasional concrete
Experience!
5+ years in a related in a related field
Skills & Knowledge!
GREAT troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of construction principles
Reading, following, and applying logical information from schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, instruction manuals, operator guides, work orders, SOP s and safety rules
Communicate effectively with customers and educate them on newly installed equipment as well as job status completion (service or installation)
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Must be able to communicate effectively
Basic computer skills using a laptop with ability to check e-mails using Gmail and effectively manage time cards using T-Sheets
Ability to submit daily time & notes using companies ticketing system - Must know how to use a cell phone including making calls, sending texts, using apps and taking
Management, Leadership & Growth!
Responsible for cross training less experienced employees and trainees on company procedures, systems, and installation/service techniques
Willing to self-train using necessary resources
Ability to lead an install team when needed
Be able to work independently without direct supervision and be able to effectively communicate to management regarding the progress of service tickets
Help establish and document procedures

Must have 3 years clean driving record and valid driver s license
Must be about to maintain vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
Maintains control and safeguards all company or customer property or information of which employee has been entrusted
Must be willing to work in various weather conditions (Working environment may be subject to high or low temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, heights, standing, bending and crawling)
Ability to work Monday Friday 8:00AM 6:00PM (typical days are 8 hours but start and stop times may change based on project/call). Saturday and evening work is rare but may be needed ;
Adapts well to changing work schedules
Must be a team player all hands-on deck when needed
Must be willing to take on new challenges and support a growing operation
