Job Description

  • Perform a wide-variety of equations to understand and learn the basic principles of inertial and hybrid navigation
  • Practice mathematical calculations using formulas to understand concepts of basic navigation sensors and describe sensor performance
  • Understand the basic theory of optimal estimation filters and associated algorithms
  • Develop low level hierarchical algorithms using high level programming language under the guidance of a senior engineer
  • Code low level algorithms in simulation
  • Understand the development of sensor models to use in a simulation as part of a navigation system development; design, implement and test sensor model in MATLAB under the guidance of Senior Engineer
  • Write test code in simulation to verify the accuracy and performance of developed low level algorithms
  • Support senior engineer during integration of low-level algorithms into main navigation simulation
  • Support navigation team during laboratory, vehicle and flight testing of navigation systems

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Mechanical engineering or related discipline
  • One-year training within the Halcon basic training system.
