Job Summary
Job Title: API Integration Engineer
Role Summary
The API Integration Engineer is responsible for designing developing and managing secure and scalable APIs within a banking environment. The role enables seamless integration between core systems digital platforms and third-party partners while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement middleware and integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards.
- Manage the full API lifecycle (design publish versioning and retirement) through API Gateway platforms.
- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs ensuring high performance scalability and security.
- Collaborate with architecture security and business teams to support digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation monitoring and compliance of all integrations.
Key Skills
- API development (REST/SOAP) and microservices architecture
- API Gateway platforms (MuleSoft Apigee Kong etc.)
- Cloud platforms (AWS Azure)
- API security and regulatory compliance
- Agile / DevSecOps methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 610 years of experience in Banking/Fintech
- Relevant integration or cloud certifications (preferred)
