We are now recruiting for an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer to join our team in Dubai the ideal candidate will have an extensive corporate background gained within a largescale international or regional top tier firm. We are particularly looking for candidates who have a broad corporate background encompassing mergers & acquisitions joint ventures and corporate restructuring.
The Corporate department has established a reputation as one of the leading corporate practices within the Middle East region. The team advises on a wide range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions joint ventures private equity investments IPOs and equity issues. Where required the corporate team is able to leverage on the support of other specialists in for example employment property construction IP IT and banking.
Key responsibilities
Advising a wide range of clients (often household name multinational corporations) on the corporate transactions in the MEA region.
Conduct due diligence and draft due diligence reports on legal matters.
Prepare and advise on commercial documents.
Confer with colleagues regarding appropriate areas of legal issues to establish and verify basis for legal proceedings.
Work on broader commercial matters as required.
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with the firms methodologies guidance and professional standards.
Contribute to the firms know how and precedents system.
Participate in the business development activities of the corporate team.
Contribute to the growth of the team by ensuring client projects are executed in an efficient manner.
Candidate requirement
Strong academic background and training at a recognised international or top local law firm
A minimum of a 5 years post qualification experience working within a recognised corporate team
Ability to work in a team and autonomously on a wide range of matters
Supervisory experience working with paralegals and junior associates
Proactive analytical and commercial approach
Driven enthusiastic and flexible team player
