Job Summary
Job Title: Welding Leadman
Location: Dubai
Experience: 3 Years
Salary: Depends Upon Experience
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of welders in the of welding tasks and projects.
- Ensure that all welding operations are performed in accordance with company standards client specifications and safety regulations.
- Oversee the preparation fitting and welding of materials ensuring highquality work.
- Provide onsite guidance and training to junior welders ensuring their skills meet required standards.
- Review welding blueprints drawings and other project specifications to ensure accurate and efficient work.
- Monitor work progress and adjust schedules and workloads as necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with welding codes and standards (e.g. ASME AWS).
- Report any issues related to welding including material defects safety concerns and quality problems.
- Coordinate with engineers project managers and other departments to ensure welding tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools ensuring they are in good working condition.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in welding or related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding with at least 12 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Certification in welding (e.g. AWS CWI CSWIP) is preferred.
- Indepth knowledge of various welding techniques materials and welding codes.
- Experience working in industries such as oil & gas construction or manufacturing.
Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of welders.
- Expertise in welding techniques including MIG TIG Stick and others.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g. ASME AWS API).
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail to ensure the quality and safety of welding operations.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage work schedules and material requirements.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
