Job Summary
The Project Engineer Mechanical will oversee and coordinate all mechanical works in high-rise building projects including HVAC chilled water systems plumbing drainage and fire fighting systems. The role ensures installations are executed according to approved drawings project specifications and UAE regulations while maintaining quality safety and schedule compliance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision

Supervise daily mechanical installation works including HVAC ducting chilled water piping plumbing drainage and firefighting systems.
Ensure installation work is carried out as per approved shop drawings project specifications and local authority requirements.
Monitor manpower productivity and site progress to meet project schedules.
Coordinate with civil electrical and architectural teams to ensure seamless project execution.

2. Technical Documentation & Approval

Prepare and review mechanical shop drawings and material submittals.
Ensure all drawings and documents are approved by consultants before execution.
Maintain accurate documentation of installation testing and commissioning records.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure mechanical works meet project specifications SMACNA/ASHRAE standards and UAE authority regulations.
Conduct inspections in coordination with QA/QC team and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
Monitor compliance with quality control procedures and standards.

4. Testing & Commissioning

Assist in testing and commissioning of HVAC chilled water plumbing and fire fighting systems.
Monitor hydrostatic pressure tests duct leakage tests and equipment commissioning.
Ensure proper documentation of all testing and commissioning activities.

5. Authority & Consultant Coordination

Coordinate with Dubai Municipality Civil Defense and other relevant authorities for inspections and approvals.
Assist consultants and clients during site inspections and project audits.
Ensure compliance with UAE codes and regulations for high-rise mechanical systems.

6. Reporting & Team Support

Provide technical support and guidance to site technicians and foremen.
Prepare daily weekly and monthly progress reports for the Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager.
Identify site issues recommend corrective actions and follow up to resolution.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of high-rise building HVAC systems chilled water systems pumps FCUs and ducting.
Knowledge of plumbing and fire fighting system installation and testing standards.
Familiarity with SMACNA ASHRAE and UAE authority codes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MEP and MS Office.
Understanding of high-rise MEP coordination and installation challenges.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of mechanical MEP experience in high-rise buildings preferably in UAE.
Strong technical problem-solving and coordination skills.
Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic/Hindi is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
