The opportunity:
Join a forward-thinking institution as a Guest Professor at the Dubai campus of are looking for a passionate and experienced practitioner to help shape the next generation of this exciting role youll deliver engaging and practical modules leverage your expertise to create real-world connections and foster an inclusive learning experience that values diverse and creative problem-solving.
Youll play an instrumental role in delivering high-quality future-oriented education empowering students to develop the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a globalized and rapidly evolving world. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on the academic journey of your students and support the continued growth of both the university and its vibrant international community.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Programming Big Data & Analytics Quantitative Methods Mathematics & Statistics. Candidates should be able to give lectures in at least two of these areas
- Planning and implementing interdisciplinary research and development projects
- Advising and supervising students to help them achieve their goals
- Grading student work supervising seminars projects and bachelor/master theses ensuring high academic and didactic standards
- Establishing industry collaborations and partnerships to further grow the network of the University
- Participate in university administration and committee work actively supporting the success of UE
- Contributing to the conceptual design of new study programmes and the continuous development of existing curricula
- Advising prospective students and contributing to UEs outreach activities
Your profile
- Experience in teaching lectures in the areas ofProgramming Big Data & Analytics Quantitative & Qualitative Methods Mathematics & Statistics. Experience in teaching advanced versions of these courses is an advantage
- National and international work experience
- Ability to teach courses in English language
- Publication and research activity are a strong asset
- Commitment to applied research student engagement and curriculum innovation
- Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
- University studies completed with a Masters degreein the field of the guest professorship
- Proof of exceptional aptitude for scientific work usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate and/or the quality of scientific publications (the degree must either be awarded by a CAA-recognized university or be accompanied by a Certificate of Recognition issued by the UAE Ministry of Education)
- At least three years of qualified professional experience with two years outside of a university in the field of the guest professorship

The hiring requirements for a guest professorship are based on the provisions of 57 of the university law of the Federal State of Brandenburg/Germany (BbgHG). Guest Professors must fulfil the requirements set out in 43 BbgHG.
