Job Summary
Job Title: Technician DRP 2 Mechanical Shift
Location: UAE
Department: Direct Reduction Plant (DRP)
Job Purpose:
To perform mechanical maintenance activities in the Direct Reduction Plant (DRP 2) to ensure safe reliable and efficient plant operations during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive corrective and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair rotating and static equipment such as pumps compressors gearboxes conveyors valves and hydraulic systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe work practices at all times.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and shift reports.
- Support shutdown activities and major maintenance works as required.
- Coordinate with operations and other maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Requirements:
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- 35 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within DRP steel or heavy industrial plants.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work in shift schedules
