Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Project Leadership
- Translate client briefs into technical solutions (AV lighting staging rigging LED power distribution etc.).
- Develop technical concepts layouts and production strategies.
- Coordinate with operations warehouse and external suppliers.
- Oversee site inspections and technical feasibility assessments.
- (As required) Lead end-to-end technical event project delivery.
- Estimation & Commercial Management
- Prepare detailed cost estimates BOQs and quotations.
- Conduct technical costing for labour equipment logistics and subcontractors.
- Ensure margin control and commercial viability of projects.
- Participate in client budget discussions and value engineering.
- Monitor cost variations and manage change orders.
- Technical Design & Drafting Oversight
- Produce or review technical drawings (CAD layouts rigging plots stage plans power layouts).
- Ensure compliance with venue regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate structural calculations when required.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and revisions.
- Project Delivery Onsite Execution & Supervision (as required)
- Oversee installation rehearsals and live event execution.
- Manage technical crews and subcontractors onsite.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and method statements.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges under live-event pressure.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as technical lead in client meetings and presentations.
- Provide professional technical advice and recommendations.
- Coordinate with venues suppliers and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.
- Risk & Compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and local authority regulations.
- Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Technical Production Event Management or related field (preferred).
- 510 years of experience in technical event production.
Strong knowledge of:
- Audio systems
- Video systems LED & media servers
- Lighting & control systems
- Rigging & staging
- Power distribution
- Scenic & decor
- Proficiency in Vectorworks.
- Strong commercial and cost-analysis skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
