Job Summary
We are looking for a Laundry Attendant to join a private property. The role involves management of laundry pressing and garment care wardrobe maintenance and supporting household presentation standards to ensure clothing and linens are maintained to a high level of quality and readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the laundry cycle including sorting washing drying and folding for family members staff and guests according to fabric care instructions.
Operate and maintain washing machines tumble dryers steamers and irons selecting appropriate programmes detergents and settings for different textiles.
Ensure delicate bespoke and specialist items (e.g. silk cashmere lace embellished garments) are handled with care and treated using recommended methods; arrange professional cleaning where required.
Pressing Finishing & Wardrobe Presentation
Press and finish garments to a high standard using steam and handfinishing techniques to ensure professional presentation.
Inspect items for stains damage or wear and either treat repair or report to the household manager for further action; perform minor mending and buttonreplacement when competent to do so.
Organise and present garments and linens neatly in wardrobes drawers and linen cupboards; maintain labelling folding standards and seasonal rotation as directed.
