Job Summary

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all of Electrical systems and equipment including planned maintenance installation and modifications.

Maintain and repair all electrical systems including troubleshooting preventative maintenance electrical system installation and temporary power installations.
Ensure adherence to all OSHA regulations follow internal safety policies and procedures.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all equipment as assigned. Install wiring and devices.
Operate and maintain in-house lighting control systems.
May be responsible for assisting with the setup tear down and distribution of temporary power for shows and events held on property.
Perform safety checks all electrical devices.
Maintain an adequate stock of parts and ensure cleanliness in assigned spaces.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assemble install test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment appliances apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers transformers or other components.
Inspect electrical systems equipment and components to identify hazards defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and current local legislation.
Read and follow blueprints/schematics to determine the location of wiring/equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.

Qualifications :

Minimum Diploma in Electrical related technical or trade certification
Minimum 2 years experience as Electrician in hospitality industry previous supervisory experience an asset
Proficient in building operation electrical repair and maintenance plus basic knowledge of other building operations skill set
The ability to use all general repair tools read shop drawings and specifications and make rough estimates of required materials
Good communication skills
Physical ability to perform the assigned duties
Experience Working in the UAE is an asset
Must be a self-starter who can work independently and will take initiative
Must be creative practical and have a pro-active approach to problem solving
