Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Technician to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Technician you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering projects by assisting with design drafting and field inspections.
- Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Assist in the collection and analysis of field data for various civil engineering projects
- Conduct site inspections and document findings to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations
- Create and maintain project documentation including reports charts and maps
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to support project planning and execution
- Utilize GIS software to create and update spatial data for project planning and analysis
- Perform basic engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations
Qualifications :
- Associates degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong technical drawing and drafting skills
- Ability to collect and analyze data efficiently and accurately
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills in English both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g. NICET EIT) preferred
- Willingness to work on construction sites and perform field inspections in various weather conditions
