Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Lobby Waitress to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Lobby Waitress you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests in the hotel lobby area ensuring their dining experience is memorable and satisfying.
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve meals snacks and beverages in the lobby area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby dining area
- Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and special requests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in setting up and breaking down lobby dining areas as needed
- Provide recommendations on menu items when asked
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials menu changes and promotions
Qualifications :
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and empathetic demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling financial transactions
- Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing tasks
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handling certification (may be required)
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic English language proficiency; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
Additional Information :
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Fluency in English additional languages are a plus
