Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Jr. Sous Chef specializing in Arabic cuisine to join our culinary team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a Jr. Sous Chef you will play a crucial role in creating authentic Arabic dishes and supporting the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Assist in menu planning and development focusing on traditional and contemporary Arabic cuisine
- Prepare and present high-quality Arabic dishes ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage kitchen operations and maintain efficiency
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in Arabic culinary techniques and food preparation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies
- Contribute to the creation of new recipes and innovative Arabic-inspired dishes
- Participate in quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
- 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen with a focus on Arabic cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of Arabic culinary traditions techniques and Middle Eastern flavors
- Proficiency in menu planning food preparation and presentation
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- In-depth understanding of kitchen operations and inventory management
- Current food safety certification
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations
- Creativity and passion for innovating within Arabic cuisine
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Legal authorization to work in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates
