You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOperate and set up conventional/manual lathes to machine metal and non-metal components as per job specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and work orders to determine machining requirements.
Perform accurate measurements using micrometres vernier callipers and other precision instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Select appropriate cutting tools feeds and speeds to achieve desired finish and tolerance levels.
Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure proper lubrication and cleanliness of equipment.
Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company quality procedures.
Maintain daily production logs and report any deviations or issues to supervisors.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and timelines.
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Tool & Die Making or equivalent.
2 years of hands-on experience in conventional lathe operations in a manufacturing/engineering setup.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Proficient in operating manual/conventional lathes and using cutting tools.
Strong knowledge of machining practices and tolerances.
Competence in using precision measuring instruments (micrometres callipers gauges).
Good understanding of safety practices in machine operations.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
