PEMA Overview

Marsh Specialtys PEMA practice draws from our in-depth global knowledge to deliver specialist services to the private equity infrastructure alternative asset industry and to corporate buyers. We work with clients over the lifecycle of their investments advising on risks and insurance matters from acquisition to exit including the placement of portfolio level insurance solutions. Our global practice consists of more than 150 professionals.

About the role

In this position you will be responsible for driving Marsh Specialtys PEMA business in UAE. This will be done by providing high quality due diligence transactional solutions infrastructure advisory and portfolio solutions to private equity corporate and financial institution clients. The role also includes the coordination of services of various Marsh practices to bring the best of Marsh McLennan to our clients. This position will be directly reporting to PEMA MEA Practice Leader.

We will count on you to:

  • Contributing to the growth of the Marsh Specialty and PEMA brand within the MEA market

  • Provide ongoing strategic advice to clients on the use of transactional risk solutions in M&A deals to enable commercial objectives to be achieved.

  • Manage develop nurture & expand relationships within the M&A community including investment funds Marsh corporate clients and prospects insurers law firms and other advisors.

  • Undertake in-depth analysis on each client engagement to understand all potential insurable risks associated with the deal and advise on possible M&A insurance solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver due diligence reports for clients

  • Coordinate services provided by other practices within Marsh

  • Act as a liaison to overseas PEMA professionals across the globe

  • Respond to RFPs focused on Advisory and M&A deals

  • Project Marshs principles externally and internally and be an ambassador for Marsh by creating thought leadership and by hosting/chairing industry events.

  • Assume a critical project management role coordinating various work streams and advisors.

  • Strive to deliver best practice market-leading service and solutions for all clients.

What you need to have:

  • M&A experience of 5 years. Prior knowledge of due diligence process and warranties and indemnities insurance as well as familiarity with transaction documents such as sale and purchase agreements will be an added advantage.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law Finance Commerce or related field.

  • Negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Highly motivated with a client service and solutions mindset.

  • Proven experience of managing & advising a portfolio of clients.

  • Prior M&A Advisory and warranties and indemnities experience

Work Experience:

  • Preferably candidates from PE/Law Firms/Big 4/Financial Advisory or any other allied Sectors.

  • Has at least 5 years professional experience.

Personality and skill sets

  • Proven Leadership skill traits (in the present Job community school and college background of having active participation and leadership role in co-curricular activities).

  • Relationship Management.

  • Strong Communication / presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced team based and time sensitive environment

  • Self-motivated with the ability to quickly understand nuances of risk management insurance

  • Ability to strictly adhere to all confidentiality and regulatory procedures and protocols
