Conduct on-site and off-site examinations of banks credit unions and financial institutions.
Evaluate institutions asset quality capital adequacy earnings liquidity and sensitivity to market risk (CAMELS framework).
Review financial statements internal controls loan portfolios and risk management practices.
Identify and report violations of laws regulations and internal policies.
Prepare detailed examination reports and present findings to institution management.
Monitor corrective actions and follow up on regulatory compliance issues.
Assist in special investigations enforcement actions or crisis management situations.
Stay informed on changes in financial regulations accounting principles and industry best practices.
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration or a related field.
Prior experience in banking auditing or financial examination preferred.
CPA CFA or relevant certifications are a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and regulatory data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and integrity.
Familiarity with banking laws and regulations (e.g. Basel III FDIC OCC Federal Reserve etc.).
