You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur client a leading UAE-based bank is looking for dynamic results-oriented Business Development Managers (BDMs) - there are several open positions -to join their growing Business Banking team in Dubai UAE. These positions are permanent successful candidates should be already based in the United Arab Emirates with business development experience in the UAE relocation from other countries/regions is not possible for these positions. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive the growth of the banks liability portfolio and other products/solutions by acquiring new-to-bank (NTB) clients and deepening relationships with existing ones. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling business banking liability and other products to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and mid-market corporate clients.
1. Business Development and Client Acquisition:
Identify prospect and acquire new-to-bank business clients (SMEs and Commercial entities) across various industries within the UAE;
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed targets for liability book growth;
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking industry events client referrals and collaboration with internal stakeholders;
Represent the bank at industry forums trade shows and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
2. Liability Products Cash Management and Other Banking Products Sales:
Act as a subject matter expert on the banks full suite of liability cash management and other business banking products;
Conduct in-depth needs analysis of clients cash flow cycles and working capital requirements to propose tailored and value-added solutions;
Focus on growing the bank s CASA (Current Account Savings Account) deposits to ensure a low cost of funds.
3. Relationship Management:
Build and foster long-term trusted relationships with key decision-makers (CFOs CEOs Finance Managers Business Owners);
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their liability cash management and other banking needs ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention;
Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities for other bank products and refer them to the appropriate internal teams.
4. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies of the bank and the UAE Central Bank regulations particularly concerning KYC (Know Your Customer) AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and other guidelines and policies;
Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective clients to ensure they meet the bank s risk appetite and compliance standards.
5. Reporting and Administration:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales and client activities;
Prepare regular reports for senior management on sales performance pipeline status and market intelligence;
Stay informed about competitor offerings market trends and economic developments in the UAE to maintain a competitive edge.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a business development or relationship management role previous business development experience in the banking or financial services industries is an advantage;
- A demonstrable and successful track record of acquiring new business clients and achieving/exceeding business development targets/KPIs;
