As our 3rd party operations continue to evolve in a demanding work environment we are seeking a dedicated Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Officer to support our partners in managing health and safety risks and employee wellbeing. The ideal candidate will put safety standards into practice lead projects to raise safety awareness and support managements efforts to ensure compliance with all program expectations and applicable regulations. With your proactive approach you will help drive a safety culture by conducting regular audits managing safety metrics and providing guidance on safetyrelated processes across our 3rd party operations. You will play a crucial advisory role for managers helping investigate accidents near misses and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Key job responsibilities
In this crucial WHS position youll report to the Country WHS Manager. Tasks will include:
Conduct regular site visits to evaluate safety conditions and provide recommendations for operational improvements
Carry out risk assessments and safety audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and local safety procedures
Monitor and analyze safety metrics create reports and review incident trends to identify areas requiring attention
Support implementation of new safety measures and provide guidance on safetyrelated processes
Ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon supply chain policies and local/regional regulations
Lead safety discussions and participate in safety briefings
Support incident investigations and ensure timely incident communication
Analyze safety performance data to implement proactive improvement actions
Support safety training completion and verify training effectiveness
About the team
NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification
Experience in data analysis and metrics reporting
Strong communication skills in local language
Ability to travel frequently for site visits
Experience in stakeholder management and crossfunctional collaboration
Background in operations safety or quality management
Experience working both independently and within a team
Strong ability to communicate effectively across various stakeholders through presentations and written communications
Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety or Engineering/Science bachelor degree
