JOB PURPOSE:
The jobholder will lead/ train a team of processors/specialists to ensure that global fund transfers/remittances/special handling transactions processing support to the banks customers is provided in a costefficient errorfree and timely manner subject to high risk management Regulatory/Compliance standards & the Bank. S/He should support the growth of INWARD NBFI AND VOSTRO business by implementing new processes/procedures to improve operating efficiency timeliness and accuracy of workflows. Following are the expectations from the role and the job holder:
- Supervising and authorization of transactions settlements accounting clearances & reconciliation input by processing staff on a daily basis.
- Minimize operational risks for the Bank by ensuring that all transactions that are processed comply fully with underlying customer or internal instructions and that these instructions are properly authorized.
- Assist the section by providing appropriate delivery and support functions.
- Ensure conformance to internal policies procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure adherence at all times to external and regulatory guidelines and domestic and international norms as applicable.
- Support multi desks and multi functions within the department.
- Perform daily & monthly proofing / reconciliation and escalate as appropriate.
- Accountable for performance and motivation of the team.
- Must maintain highest level of internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Must live up to the core values and be able to challenge any process / procedure share ideas and initiatives across teams / units.
- Must be able to maintain a culture of discipline and open communication within the team.
- Pursue opportunities for enhancing operational efficiencies customer service and operational controls by identifying process improvements.
- Support in enhancing and modifying the existing procedures analyze and resolve nonroutine operational problems often requiring research and involvement of other functional experts.
- Work with risk management teams to ensure that day to day operational processes and enhancements launched comply with local regulations Banks policies and internal procedures.
Job Context (Specific Accountabilities)
- Work with the line manager in introducing strong tools/processes to identify/ease operational risks attached to the unit.
- Pursue opportunities for enhancing operational efficiencies along with adequate monitoring
- Ensure excellent housekeeping standards at all times
- Zero Ops Loss; NIL near miss / income leakage event; target zero high risk error
- Target zero complaints minimum 95% adherence to TAT standards as agreed with business. Achieve more than 85% satisfaction score in the internal customer survey.
- Nil unauthorized breaches in Policy/regulatory requirements and SOPs. Satisfactory rating in all audits INA/RMU/ORC
- Nil breaches in housekeeping (reconciliations tracers DCFCL etc.).
- NIL critical findings in regulatory /external/internal audits.
- No. of PI (process improvement) proposals found fruitful by management. No. of successful PIs implemented
- Quantified benefits from successful proposal implementation> should translate into bottomline or stakeholder impact
- No. of crossfunctional desks supported during the year

- 5 years relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 3 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the payment function.
