Job Description
- Develop programs and procedures targeted at reducing occupational health risks
- Plan, direct, and manage the company industrial hygiene program
- Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety
- Investigate accidents to identify causes and determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future
- Recommend measures to help protect workers from potential hazards
- Inspect or evaluate workplace environments to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Develop or maintain hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, or ventilation surveys
