Job Description

  • Work with counterpart Mobility consultants to provide overall assignment management for inbound and outbound assignments, provide day to day advice to assignees throughout the lifecycle of the assignment

  • Manage all active phases of the assignment (e.g. pre-assignment, on-assignment, repatriation and post-assignment). Be proactive with assignees, maintaining frequent communication to ensure their assignment is progressing as planned and to resolve issues. Perform health checks on career and goal progress by utilizing Career Management guidelines)

  • Partner with the business to manage the intake of Mobility requests from their Service Line in the Region. Determine the nature and complexity of the case/s to be managed and either refer the business client or assignee to the most appropriate case advisor or work to determine the optimal Mobility service, cost and terms

  • Become the primary point of contact for one or more service lines in your Region (as directed by your Regional Team Lead). Apply an understanding of business needs to identify critical outcomes, barriers to success, and changes in expectations or scope

  • Consult on and administer the application of Modular Mobility Framework to determine assignment category selection, candidate selection, policy benefits, compensation decisions and exception process. Educate stakeholders on their responsibilities in the process and send periodic reminders, as required

  • Develop (or assist in developing) relocation packages. Ensure cost estimates and assignment contract/s are prepared efficiently and effectively, working with relevant partners (e.g. Talent Shared Services and Finance)

  • Delivery of cost estimates to the business and ensure the appropriate and timely approval of mobility assignments. Raise any issues to the Regional Team Leader

  • Ensure the assignment initiation and assignment briefing to the assignee is robust (LTA/STA), so the assignee adopts the right cultural mindset and understands the critical milestones, legislation / documentation to be completed and potential issues/risks. Supporting MobCos to join briefing calls as often as possible under ONE TEAM approach

  • Work to deliver assignments in accordance to the Modular Mobility Framework and any other relevant policies for your Region/Country

  • Work closely with internal departments (Talent team, Finance, Tax and Immigration) to ensure the assignment is compliant

  • Through technology - initiate services (i.e. relo, tax, immigration...) Work with external vendors (as required) to assist assignees in coordinating all aspects of relocation matters in relation to their assignments

  • Escalate business or assignee issues where needed to the Regional Mobility Manager

Operations Management

  • Work to agreed global Mobility policies, processes and systems. Monitor and facilitate ongoing activities (visa extensions, tax organizers, repat date, localizations, business partnering)

  • Participate in Mobility networks and working groups to help identify Mobility policy, process and system improvements, or to identify new Mobility solutions of benefit to EY clients and assignees.

  • Work collaboratively with other Mobility teams to help contribute to a high performing team globally. Escalate to other pillars as necessary - Solutions, Enablement, AM

  • Ensure that data and information is entered and maintained in Global Mobility Tool (GMT) accurately to enable efficient and accurate reporting.

  • Reviewing noncompliant expenses; exception or rejection decision management

  • Manage payroll instructions

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Work to manage the administration of international mobility assignments, raising issues for resolution where required

  • Work to correctly apply the International Mobility Framework, Assignment Policy Categories, Taxation and Immigration legislation and the exception process

  • Review and ensure the quality of work from partners, including external third party suppliers, People Advisory Services (PAS) and Talent Shared Services as appropriate

  • Prioritize work and managing workload in busy periods

  • Maintain professional internal and external client relationships at all times
