Job Description
Job Summary
Reports to the Project Lead/ Discipline Manager on site. Oversees reviews & manages and monitors implementation of the construction documents on site. The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee the design development and implementation of electrical systems for construction projects. This role involves supervising the installation and maintenance of electrical systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and inspectors.
Job Duties
- Project Management: Lead electrical engineering projects from inception to completion including planning budgeting and scheduling.
- Design and Development: Review detailed electrical designs schematics and specifications for construction projects.
- Supervision: Oversee the installation testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet project requirements and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes standards and regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to project teams clients and contractors.
- Documentation: Prepare and review technical drawings reports and documentation.
- Client Interaction: Maintain positive relationships with clients addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior electrical engineers fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with the companys Health Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.
Specific Skills Required
- Site experience in basic design requirements estimation installation and all site activities related to all Electrical works for construction of largescale building projects.
- Familiar with all the Electrical Engineering methodologies as well as the corresponding equipment materials consumables tools and manpower allocations related to Electrical works for building projects.
- Well versed in interpreting and executing Electrical related drawings.
- Have the knowledge of the related authorities requirements
- HighRise Residential and Commercial buildings experience required with strong background in startup execution and handover of major projects.
Person Specification (Behavioral Attributes)
- Good team player with high energy levels. Able to supervise a team of engineers and inspectors efficiently and competently
Qualifications :
Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or equivalent Plus an advanced post Graduate Degree and membership of a recognized institution ( i.e. PE/Peng CEng Etc.) would be preferred. LEED GA or AP certifications would be a plus for MEP discipline
Experience
- Minimum 15years demonstrable experience in the design and all aspects of supervision and project administration of the electrical works related to largescale projects within Middle East in the consulting industry
