Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Storekeeper to join our team. The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of construction materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials and equipment ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory including stock levels location and movement
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Issue materials and equipment to construction teams as per their requirements
- Conduct regular stock checks to identify any discrepancies or shortages
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse ensuring all materials are stored safely and securely
- Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels stock movement and any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols while handling and storing materials and equipment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Storekeeper in a construction company or similar industry
- Knowledge of construction materials and equipment
- Proficient in using inventory management software
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy materials and equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
