Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for various construction projects.
- Identify and source suppliers and vendors for construction materials equipment and services.
- Review project requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with procurement needs.
- Negotiate contracts pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable service.
- Monitor market trends and evaluate potential new suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE procurement regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve procurementrelated issues.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases contracts and supplier performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience:
- 510 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry with at least 6 years in the UAE.
- Proven track record of managing procurement for largescale projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction materials equipment and market rates in the UAE.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g. ERP systems MS Excel).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple procurement activities.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
