Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Sr. Safety Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization you will be responsible for developing implementing and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.
- Develop implement and maintain safety policies procedures and programs in compliance with local and international safety standards
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations analyze root causes and develop preventive measures to mitigate future risks
- Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels of the organization
- Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize workplace hazards
- Manage emergency response planning and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness
- Analyze safety data and prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory agencies
- Stay uptodate with changes in safety regulations and best practices ensuring organizational compliance
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety protocols into daily operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safetyrelated matters with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 57 years of experience in safety management preferably in industrial or construction settings
- Indepth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations including OSHA standards
- Proficiency in risk assessment safety audits and incident investigation techniques
- Strong understanding of UAE labor laws and safety regulations
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
- Experience with emergency response planning and implementation
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
