Roles and responsibilities
- upporting company manager in the onshore preparation and planning of the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning integrated services
- Supporting company manager in the co-ordination of the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning integrated services
- Promotes safety & quality to all personnel within the team.
- Assist manager in execution and completion of Check lists & Test Sheets and function test sheets & OTPs to the Project format during execution.
- Preparation and issue of the relevant progress reports & lists,
- Supervise the day-to-day execution of the installation of all electrical equipment as transformer, switchboard LV, cabling, UPS, electrical motor, etc including those fitted as part of a unit.
- Ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently in a competent manner and that adherence to the Permit to Work System is performed
- Organize and direct the Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Electrical Supervisors and Technicians in the day-to-day Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities
- Execute and supervise testing as required by Project specification
- Ensuring correct compilation of all relevant certification to enact Ready for Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Ready for Start Up status
- Compilation of punch lists in conjunction with the execution Contractor and Company
- Ensuring that the required as built drawings as required by the project procedures are maintained and reviewed
- Carry out inspections, surveys and checks to ensure pre and post Electrical testing is as per Project Specifications including all ATEX certified equipment.
- Ensure safety and security of all activities and workers under his control.
- Provide input into the Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Planning
- Interfacing of disciplines and third parties
- Maintaining equipment / system historic records
- Overall preparation, supervision & execution of all OTP’s with associated documentary support,
- Assist with the preparation of handover manuals and relevant tracking/filing of Commissioning reports,
- Ensure supervision/execution of all the Electrical Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities as per Project specification,
- Maintain & up-date the master documentation,
- Prepares and ensure pre-start-up activities supervision using Contractors Supervisors and Technicians,
Anticipated Roles And Responsibilities
- At least 15+ years’ experience in similar position, essential has experience of ICAPS or similar proprietary completion systems.
- Evidence of formal Electrical Engineering education.
- Excellent written and verbal commissioning communications skills and the ability to commissioning community effectively at all levels.
- Experience of multicultural project teams.
- At Least 5 years’ experience of Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning LNG facilities.
- Experience of Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning and Start Up of Electrical facility equipment LV switchboard, distribution, UPS, electrical motor & PLC’s, heat tracing, etc.
- Experience and familiarity of ATEX certification and hold a valid certificate of training on ATEX certified equipment
- Experience of preparing all Pre---Procedural requirements for Company review and approval.
- Identification consumables/First Fills for Commission and Start Up

- Perform complex calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize the electrical systems' performance. This includes using software like MATLAB, ETAP, or Simulink for power systems modeling and fault analysis.
- Analyze power distribution networks, electrical grids, and circuit performance, ensuring reliability and efficiency under different load conditions.
- Conduct fault analysis, load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, and stability checks.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify problems and apply corrective actions.
- Maintain electrical systems by implementing predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Provide technical support during the operation, including diagnosing issues, improving operational processes, and ensuring safe electrical system performance.

Project Management and Execution:
- Lead and manage the execution of electrical engineering projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring correct implementation according to design specifications.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, civil) to ensure systems are integrated seamlessly within broader projects.

- Ensure that electrical systems meet safety regulations, such as NEC (National Electrical Code), IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), and IEEE standards.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in electrical designs or during system operations and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain compliance with environmental standards for energy consumption and waste management.

- Document design processes, system analyses, testing procedures, and maintenance activities for future reference and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical reports and presentations to clients, stakeholders, or senior management, highlighting system performance, progress, and any issues.
