Zahr Freighters a leading name in the logistics and transportation industry is seeking an organized and proactive Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This role is critical in ensuring seamless operations efficient supply chain management and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination: Oversee and manage the endtoend logistics operations including transportation warehousing and distribution.
- Supply Chain Management: Monitor supply chain activities to ensure timely and costeffective delivery of goods.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality.
- Shipment Oversight: Track and monitor shipments ensuring adherence to schedules and resolving any delays or issues.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock availability aligns with company needs.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local and international regulations including customs clearance and documentation.
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining service quality and efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on logistics performance including cost analysis and operational efficiency metrics.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams including procurement sales and customer service to meet operational goals.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3 years in logistics or supply chain management preferably in a similar industry.
- Education: A bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in logistics management software.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Attributes:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A team player with a proactive attitude.
