Roles and responsibilities
In this in-house position, you will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to subcontractors for assigned projects. You will ensure that procurement processes are efficient, and high-quality subcontractor packages are delivered. Your technical expertise and communication skills will help align procurement strategies with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise subcontractor pre-qualification and evaluation based on company criteria.
- Manage RFQ preparation, issuance, and follow-up for tenders and project execution.
- Conduct technical and commercial assessments of subcontractor offers and prepare comparison reports.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Lead subcontractor negotiations to secure competitive terms and finalize contracts.
- Maintain and update the subcontractor register and procurement records.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Contribute to risk assessments related to subcontractor engagement.
- Facilitate the handover of subcontractor agreements to site teams for project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Procurement, or a related field.
- Must have a construction main contractor background
- NO Consultancy!
- must have civil building procurement experience, not Oil & Gas, not MEP mechanical electrical!
- specializing in subcontractor packages.
- Exceptional technical assessment and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering and subcontracting practices.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.

- Identifying potential suppliers and evaluating their capabilities to meet the company's needs.
- Conducting market research to ensure the organization is sourcing from reliable suppliers with competitive pricing and high-quality products.

- Negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods, quality, and service levels.

- Establishing performance criteria for suppliers and monitoring their performance against set metrics (e.g., delivery time, quality, service).
