Carl Zeiss Vision a global leading and innovative Foundation in optical lens and diagnostic optical instrument business is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to service optometrists and opticians in EastAfrica. The applicant will be based in Nairobi Kenya.
Responsibilities
- Deliver growth by regularly visiting existing customers in EastAfrica.
- Prospect open and develop new accounts within EastAfrica.
- Present new and current products.
- Support the customer with product sales and order process training.
- Initiate and support marketing promotions of the customers to ensure brand visibility and sales.
- Work in the field with customers in their own outlets to improve sales processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and partner with customers.
- Ability to actively close sales.
- Ability to utilize reports and presentations to effectively manage the customer relationship.
- Support the customers with registration of instruments and lenses.
- Reports on regular basis to the Regional Sales Manager.
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to digest comprehend and verbalize highly technical products.
- Demonstrated professional sales skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and interpersonal skills. French and Swahili is a plus.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Good knowledge of the optical business.
- Must be willing and able to travel in EastAfrica with hotel stays on a regular basis.
- A driver license is a plus.
Education
- Experienced (minimum 5 years) Sales agent in the optical field optometrist or optician.
