Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Use the Customer Experience discipline to change overall cultural thinking and put customer first in all our designed experiences. Day to day, turn our deep customer understanding into specific design projects and helps lead, support, or guide the projects and how they come to life.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Redesign customer journeys by planning and executing cross-functional projects.
  • Leverage research, data, and best practices to develop and validate strategies.
  • Create journey maps, service design blueprints, and prototypes to solve customer experience challenges.
  • Work closely with insights, Customer Relationship Management, Handover, and operations teams to align business and customer needs.
  • Present findings and advocate for product/service improvements to leadership and executives.
  • Manage pilot programs, adapt final products, and ensure seamless execution.
  • Regularly assess project risks, maintain documentation, and coordinate team actions.
  • Influence roadmaps and challenge conventions to redefine future developments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional communication skills in presenting, listening, and providing feedback.
  • Strong empathy and connection with stakeholders and customers.
  • Collaborative team player with high self-awareness.
  • Curious mindset to ask questions, challenge norms, and explore possibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design Thinking, Innovation, Human-Centered Design, or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Design Conceptualization: Creating initial design concepts based on briefs and market research.
  • Project Leadership: Leading design projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Brand Development: Designing brand identities and ensuring consistency across all platforms and media.
  • Creative Direction: Guiding the overall aesthetic and design direction for marketing materials, websites, products, or advertising campaigns.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Working closely with marketing, development, and product teams to ensure designs align with broader business goals.
  • Quality Control: Reviewing designs for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines before final delivery.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Interfacing with clients or stakeholders to gather design requirements, present ideas, and incorporate feedback.
  • Design Execution: Creating high-quality, polished designs for print, digital, or product applications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technologies to improve skills and design outputs.

Desired candidate profile

Creative Design Skills

  • Visual Design: Proficiency in creating visually engaging designs, including layouts, color schemes, typography, and imagery.
  • Branding: Understanding how to create and maintain a cohesive visual identity for a company or product.
  • Innovation: Thinking outside the box to create unique and original design solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring that designs are polished, precise, and meet the expected standards of quality.

2. Proficiency in Design Software

  • Adobe Creative Suite: Mastery of design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
  • Sketch/Figma: Familiarity with modern design tools for web and UI/UX design.
  • 3D Modeling Software: Depending on the role, knowledge of 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender, AutoCAD) can be beneficial for product design.
  • Prototyping and Wireframing: Experience using tools like Figma, InVision, or Axure to create prototypes and wireframes for digital designs.

3. Project Management

  • Time Management: Balancing multiple design projects and meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards.
  • Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and sales teams, to ensure design meets business needs.
  • Resource Allocation: Managing design resources, such as design teams or budgets, to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Client Relations: Communicating with clients or stakeholders to understand their design requirements and presenting design concepts.

4. Brand Strategy and Marketing Knowledge

  • Brand Guidelines: Creating and adhering to brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all design outputs.
  • Marketing Trends: Keeping up with design trends and incorporating them into designs to stay competitive.
  • Target Audience Understanding: Designing with an awareness of the company’s audience, aligning visuals with customer preferences.

5. Problem-Solving and Adaptability

  • Concept Development: Translating concepts and ideas into visual designs that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Feedback Integration: Incorporating feedback from clients or stakeholders to refine and improve designs.
  • Flexibility: Adapting designs to various platforms and media, including web, print, and mobile, while maintaining visual integrity.

6. Communication and Presentation Skills

  • Clear Communication: Being able to explain design decisions and rationale to non-design stakeholders in a clear and understandable way.
  • Presentation: Effectively presenting design ideas, concepts, and final work to clients or senior management.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments and designers, as well as managing feedback and incorporating suggestions.
