Exciting Opportunity for Senior Tax Accountant – Join Our Finance Team in Abu Dhabi!
Are you an experienced tax professional looking to make a difference in a dynamic corporate environment? We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join Ali & Sons Holding LLC in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical in ensuring Corporate Tax and VAT compliance across the group and its subsidiaries while supporting strategic tax initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Indirect Tax – VAT:
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT reports, including VAT returns and TB reconciliation.
- Ensure VAT compliance for AR & AP invoices and transactions.
- Develop tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities.
- Conduct tax impact analyses for transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Support documentation reviews for VAT treatments (e.g., contracts, invoices).
- Monitor and implement VAT regulation updates in line with legal guidelines.
- Provide VAT-related support to business and finance teams.
- Assist with VAT queries and recommend solutions.
- Support during tax audits.
Direct Tax – Corporate Tax:
- Conduct assessments on UAE Corporate Tax and perform gap analyses for readiness.
- Prepare corporate tax reports, computations, and returns.
- Maintain a checklist of allowable and disallowed expenditures.
- Assist with implementation and compliance of Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing policies.
- Archive tax working files and support CT compliance processes.
- Stay updated on global and regional tax developments, highlighting their impacts.
- Support during tax audits and assist with tax provisioning.
- Assess deferred tax assets and liabilities.
Requirements:
- Education: University degree in Finance or Accounting with a professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA).
- Experience: 2–3 years in UAE taxation.

Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and review tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual filings.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all federal, state, and local tax forms.
- Maintain compliance with all tax laws and regulations, staying current with updates or changes.
Tax Planning and Strategy
- Develop and implement tax-saving strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Analyze the impact of tax legislation on the company and recommend adjustments.
- Identify and mitigate potential tax risks to minimize liabilities.
Audit Support
- Assist with tax audits by preparing documentation, schedules, and responses to inquiries.
- Act as a point of contact for tax authorities during audits or reviews.
- Ensure records and filings are accurate and readily available.
Financial Reporting
- Collaborate with the finance team to calculate and report tax provisions for financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax accounting standards (e.g., ASC 740 or IFRS).
- Reconcile tax accounts and manage deferred tax balances.
Advisory and Team Support
- Provide guidance on tax-related matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and international operations.
- Mentor and review the work of junior tax staff or accountants.
- Work with external tax advisors and consultants as needed.
