We are currently looking for Senior Process Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi location.
Main Purpose Of Role
Key Engineering Role within the business to lead discipline performance on projects & to provide expert technical design leadership and design assurance on projects as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant discipline from recognized university
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline will be an added advantage
Essential
Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
- 10 -17 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.
Advantage
- Previous experience in Region
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Lead Engineer
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in FEED projects
Technical Knowledge And Skills (Discipline Specific)
- Knowledge of in-depth engineering processes
- Experience with international codes, standards and engineering practices
- Must be experienced with all aspects of design from concept to detailed design
- Technical analysis of engineering problems
- Development of Process Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Hysys Simulation and H&MB development
- Knowledge of all aspects of process engineering including material and energy balance, PFD, P&ID, cause and effect diagram, data sheets and material selection.
- Sizing calculations of pipelines and associated equipment including tanks, vessels, separators, control valves, relief valves and pumps.
- Must have a demonstrable ability to provide top class engineering deliverables, as directed by the Project Study lead, without constant supervision, as per company technical competency standards.

Process Design and Optimization
- Design and develop new processes or modify existing ones to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet project goals.
- Perform process simulations, modeling, and optimization using software tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to ensure effective and efficient design solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for processes to meet environmental, safety, and quality standards.
- Develop and optimize process flows, ensuring optimal use of resources such as energy, raw materials, and manpower.

Process Control and Troubleshooting
- Monitor the performance of ongoing processes, identifying and resolving issues that may arise in day-to-day operations.
- Develop process control strategies to ensure stability, reliability, and safety of operations.
- Implement troubleshooting procedures and perform root cause analysis of process inefficiencies, equipment failures, and quality issues.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure that process systems are maintained and optimized effectively.

Process Safety and Compliance
- Ensure that processes comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA, FDA, and local regulations).
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA), risk assessments, and safety audits to ensure safe operations.
- Design and implement safety measures to minimize process risks, including the development of emergency shutdown procedures (ESD) and safety relief systems.
- Promote a culture of safety, conducting training and raising awareness regarding process safety and hazard management.

Project Management and Technical Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through the design, development, and implementation phases of process projects.
- Manage the technical aspects of projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other departments (e.g., mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and other team members, ensuring that best practices and standards are followed.
- Prepare technical documentation, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and operating procedures.

Process Simulation and Modeling
- Use advanced process simulation software to model different process scenarios and predict their outcomes.
- Analyze simulation results to recommend the most efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable process design solutions.
- Perform sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of variables such as feedstock changes, operating conditions, and energy consumption on process performance.

Energy and Resource Efficiency
- Identify opportunities for energy savings, waste reduction, and resource optimization in process systems.
- Design processes that minimize environmental impact, reduce emissions, and comply with sustainability goals.
- Implement energy recovery systems, heat integration, and renewable energy solutions to enhance process sustainability.
