Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Helper to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks related to engineering projects and provide support to the team as needed. The Helper will be responsible for carrying out manual labor operating machinery and ensuring the work area is clean and organized. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic the ability to follow instructions and a willingness to learn and grow within the engineering field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out manual labor tasks as directed by the engineering team
- Operate machinery and equipment under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Support the engineering team with various tasks as needed
Requirements:
- 13 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Physical stamina and ability to carry out manual labor tasks
- Basic knowledge of machinery and equipment operation
- Understanding of safety protocols and procedures
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models, Piping Isometrics, GA drawings, and Piping Layouts. In-depth knowledge of Piping BOM, MTO, and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
Education
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
