You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJob Description: We are seeking a highly skilled & experienced Mechanical Inspector who will be responsible for providing technical support to the Project Manager and for reviewing monitoring inspecting and supervising all mechanical works during the construction phase of the Project. He/she shall have the responsibility for checking that the contractor s work is .carried out in accordance with best practices statutory and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Mechanical Engineer in performing the contractual duties on site.
Maintain a detailed diary of the day s work activities issues work approved or rejected hours of operation labour and equipment used etc. and sign at the end of each day.
Attend Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
Monitor quality of works ensuring the same complies with contracts / QCS specifications on a daily basis.
Prepare Surveillance Report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site that are believed to have failed or if the contractor is not complying with verbal instructions and subsequently complete a NonConformance Report (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
Oversee and inspect all mechanical work and ensure that installation activities comply with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
Receive material inspection requests (MIR) from contractor inspect materials delivered at site and report on quantity and technical compliance and sign off requests.
Prepare/complete the necessary documentation prior to inspection of the Works and process accordingly following completion of the inspection.
Keep monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerning the execution of the works.
Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
Ensure site progress information is communicated regularly.
Perform all other duties that may be requested by team leadership
Coordinate the works to ensure successful handover of the project
Progress Meetings
Attend weekly technical meeting if required and directed by Project Manager
Attend QA/QC Meetings and identify issues concerning quality standards
Attend and report site coordination sessions with MEP contractor & subcontractors
Project Coordination
Coordinate with Architectural / Structural / Mechanical Disciplines for ensuring electrical requirements are addressed adequately
Coordinate with Project Manager for site issues
Monitor Contractor s works for compliance MEP QA/QC Plans
Coordinate with MEP Contractor / SubContractors site representatives for accuracy and sequencing of works
Report & Records
Report comments on WIR s as applicable.
Issue Site Observation Notes and NCRs as applicable.
Prepare notes on MEP QA/QC issues if applicable.
Coordinate with Electrical Engineer and prepare responses to RFI s etc.
Check and verify Electrical Asbuilt drawings as applicable.
Education
Minimum bachelor's in business & administration
