Senior Structural Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

• Document Review and Support:
  • Assist Engineers in reviewing contractor submittal documents, including Shop Drawings, Method Statements, Pre-Qualifications, QA/QC documents, and Materials.
  • Ensure the correct revision level and technical accuracy of all submitted documents for proper work execution.
• Construction Inspection:
  • Inspect the construction of temporary and permanent structural works, particularly for Bridges and Underpasses, ensuring compliance with approved shop drawings, materials, method statements, contract documents, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Monitor and verify conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements during inspections.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare daily logs and reports, maintaining detailed records of inspections, tests performed, and work executed.
  • Ensure that all documentation is in line with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
• Project Handover and Final Inspection:
  • Assist in the inspection of completed works, prepare punch lists, and monitor the start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover of the works.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a reputed institution.
• 10 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience for review of contractor submittal documents for Bridges / Underpasses / Infrastructure works in the GCC.
• UAE Valid Driving License.
• Ability to perform occasional shift changes from day and night.
