Assistant Project Design Manager (UAE National)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Project Design Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline.

What You'll Be Doing

• Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.
• Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
• Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Review small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
• Prepare and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelors degree in Civil/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fresh graduate with some internship experience, more experienced candidates are invited to apply.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
• Have experience working on Infrastructure related projects.

• Project Management Skills: Understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

• Design Software Proficiency: Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite to assist in creating and modifying designs.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify challenges in the design process and propose effective solutions.

• Team Collaboration: Experience working in a team environment, supporting senior designers and architects, and fostering positive relationships.

• Time Management: Skill in managing multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure projects stay on track.

• Knowledge of Building Codes and Regulations: Understanding relevant codes and regulations to ensure designs comply with legal and safety standards.

• Creativity and Innovation: Ability to contribute creative ideas and approaches to design challenges.

• Research Skills: Proficiency in researching materials, methods, and technologies that can enhance project designs.
