Roles and responsibilities

Accounts Assistant (UAE National)

Abu Dhabi

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Accounts Assistant-UAE National to join our team! We are looking for someone who understands accounting, knows the nature of assets and liabilities as well as the income statements accounts. Who is dependable and flexible with good analytical and excel skill, understand accounting processes, monthly closing, and employee final settlement calculations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare vendor payment/employee expense requests.
  • Prepare, process, and post monthly journal entries.
  • Complete intercompany confirmation and prepaid amortization schedules.
  • Complete, record and balance intercompany cost transactions between entities.
  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Complete monthly detailed analysis of account reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly reporting schedules and accounts analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities associated with this position as deemed appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly analytical.
  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Self-directed, and able to work well independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Confidentiality: Handling sensitive financial information requires a strong sense of ethics and confidentiality.

    Time Management: Effectively prioritizing tasks ensures that deadlines are met and workflows remain smooth.

    Team Collaboration: Being able to work well with colleagues in finance and other departments is key to supporting overall business operations.
