Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Monitoring construction activities in a manner that achieves project technical requirements within the cost and schedule targets set by COMPANY.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the construction team during SITE construction in a manner that achieves quality installation meeting performance parameters set out in the Statement of Requirements within the cost and schedule targets set by COMPANY.
  • Responsible for the coordination, realisation and follow up of offshore structural activities.
  • To pursue the HSE objectives defined by his hierarchical superiors.
  • To insure compliance with Company Management System and applicable International Standards.
  • To follow the construction activities, including pre-commissioning, as required.
  • To ensure completion of all the construction and pre-commissioning activities to ensure an efficient hand over to Commissioning team
  • To ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.
  • To provide KPI’s information for the reporting to the Construction Manager.
  • To provide weekly reporting of the offshore construction activities.
  • To participate to risk analysis as required for the good performance of the works.
  • To contribute to the engineering and procurement process by providing construction inputs.
  • To participate to kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings as required in accordance with Company's referential.
  • To participate to required offshore Technical Meetings (weekly and monthly) with Contractors / Subcontractors.
  • To ensure offshore cost and schedule follow up / reporting in line with the project’s requirements.
  • To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by his hierarchical superiors.
  • Being an active member of the Project Team and managing construction organization interfaces by working collaboratively across the project organization providing direction, coordination and alignment of construction strategies and planning.
  • Acts as the Construction interface from the point of project inception to the point the project starts field execution.
  • Ensure that all actions, works and services undertaken by CONTRACTOR are in accordance with the respective Agreement with Customer.

Qualifications And Experience

  • PMC & ADNOC experiences are preferable.
  • Diploma in Engineering (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, IT , Computer, software, Electronic, etc) or equivalent from an accredited with relevant experience in Oil & Gas.
  • Relevant experience in petrochemical industry in GCC region
  • Relevant experience in similar position for major oil & Gas / Marine Construction projects projects experience in GCC region

  • Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and relevant building codes and regulations.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and manage construction crews, ensuring effective teamwork and communication on-site.

  • Project Management: Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.

  • Safety Management: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to identify issues or delays on-site and develop effective solutions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with team members, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Quality Control: Ability to monitor construction quality, ensuring that all work meets the required standards and specifications.

  • Documentation Skills: Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of daily activities, work progress, and safety inspections.

  • Conflict Resolution: Skills in managing conflicts or disputes that may arise between team members, subcontractors, or stakeholders.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and tools for project tracking and reporting.
