Job Description

  • Provide courteous professional efficient and flexible service at all times following Rixos Standards of Performance.
  • Be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within different subdepartments of the Food & Beverage Division or any other department of the hotel as assigned.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures established for the place of work as assigned.
  • Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend food and beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
  • Provide a high standard of quality and efficient/friendly service as per Standard Operational Procedures.
  • Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Handle guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.
  • Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
  • Report guest complaints or problems to Managers if no immediate solution can be found and assure followup with guests.
  • Assist in carrying out monthly quarterly biyearly and yearly inventory of operating equipment.
  • Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhering to the hotel and department appearance standards.
  • Provide friendly courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry particularly in food and beverage service is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various subdepartments and handle different tasks as assigned.
