Roles and responsibilities

• Implement quality assurance processes to review and approve design deliverables, ensuring they meet all project requirements and standards.
• Monitor program and targets set up for each project and periodically report on status and risks.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Update design standards, standardization objectives and specifications, communicate changes to the development team and provide feedback on proposed improvements.
• Provide a systematic quality assurance strategy applied to all projects and coordinate its implementation.
• Ensure that adequate level of support is provided to project teams during design and through design reviews.
• Ensure possible value engineering ideas are identified to cut costs/time and provide recommendations to project teams.
• Carry out weekly and monthly reporting of progress and issues to the line manager.
• Coordinate the review and integration of design work from various disciplines, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive design approach.
• Ensure the integration of design activities with overall project timelines and construction schedules, addressing any conflicts or issues that arise.
• Provide leadership and guidance to internal project teams regarding the design aspect of the project.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the development of professional skills within the team.
• Oversee, review and approve the Project Implementation Plan for each project.
• Manage and approve all proposed value engineering options.
• Oversee the management design progress against the programme.
• Knowledge of AI technologies to produce in-house pre-concept designs.
• Extend AI technologies and preliminary concepts into procurement strategies and preliminary cost analysis.
• Full proficiency on modelling and AI technologies including:
• SketchUp, Rhinoceros, 3DSMax, V-Ray
• Midjourney, Dalle, Stable Diffusion, Luma AI, Lumion, Enscape, CostX
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

Min of 12+ years of experience in design process for developments with CAPEX 4+ billion AED

Years in Management

Min of: 4+ years in a managerial position.

Sector Experience

Retail estate sector, construction.

Technical & Interpersonal Skills

• Deep exposure to GCC region and adjacent markets preferred
• Demonstrated track record in real estate developments
• Excellent design & master-planning capabilities
• Strong conflict resolution/management skills
• Strong team player with ability to balance conflicting priorities and take timely decisions
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required to present master plans to senior leaders for approval.
• Experienced in working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams that include members from Business Planning, Master Planning, Design, Project Management, Procurement and Commercial functions.
